Charlestown Youth Hockey Association is an organization that maintains and runs a hockey program open to all interested youth in Charlestown area. Our program is designed to develop skating and hockey skills emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork and responsibility.
CYHA is an affiliate of Massachusetts Hockey, Inc. and USA Hockey, Inc. We are required to comply with the rules and regulations of these organizations as an affiliated organization.
CYHA has its own set of By-Laws by which it organizes its affairs. There is Board of Directors elected by the voting membership. An annual election will be conducted and Board of Directors shall serve terms of office of one or two years. The Board of Directors shall direct the policies and operations of the association.

ABOUT THE CHARLESTOWN HOCKEY RINK
CYHA conducts the majority of its program at the Emmons-Horigan-O'Neil Rink located at 150 Rutherford Ave in Charlestown; Entrance at 46 Union Street
This facility is owned by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). CYHA is a licensee of this facility and has limited control over the operation or maintenance of the facility.
If there are rink related concerns or issues, please let us know. We will work with the DCR to address issues. Please remember, due to a tight budget, the DCR has limited resources to work with.
