All Learn to Skate sessions will take place at the Charlestown Rink on Union Street from: 

November 12, 2022 through March, 2023. Saturdays from 12pm to 12:50pm.

This program is open to boys and girls ages 3 and up. Emphasis is on the fundamental skills of skating, including forwarding skating, turning and stopping, and enjoying physical activity.

This program is a recommended prequisite to “Learn to Play – Micro” Hockey Program, which is typically a child’s second/third year on the ice.

Required Equipment that players must have:

• hockey skates

• wear a hockey helmet (not a bicycle helmet, as the helmet should be fitted with a cage or a full-face shield.)

• heavy gloves or mittens

• knee pads or ski/snow pants

• elbow pads or winter coat covering/protecting in case of a fall

• (no hockey sticks at Learn to Skate Program)
